Bambu TPU for AMS 68D is a product-specific exception to its generic TPU restrictions. Creality CFS, CFS-C, and CFS Lite have different rules. SUNLU spool fit depends on the version and dimensions, not the brand name alone.
This lookup answers whether one filament line is supported in a feeder; the printer and spool compatibility guide answers how a spool fits AMS or AMS Lite, including cardboard spools, and what hardware the material needs.
Feeder verdicts by filament and spool
Use the exact row for your material and feeder. “Conditional” means the spool dimensions or model-specific instructions decide; it does not guarantee that every spool will feed.
| Filament or spool | Feeder | Current reading | What decides it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bambu TPU for AMS, 68D | AMS Lite | Supported for this exact line. | Bambu lists AMS Lite compatibility. |
| Generic TPU or TPU 95A | AMS Lite | Unsupported through AMS Lite. | Bambu lists generic TPU and TPU 95A as unsupported; use the printer’s supported external feed path. |
| TPU for AMS | AMS 2 Pro | Supported by the AMS 2 Pro filament list. | Bambu lists TPU for AMS as supported; generic TPU and TPU 95A are listed as unsupported. |
| TPU 85A / 90A | AMS HT | Bypass outlet only. Not automatic feed. | Bambu lists AMS HT as compatible and tells you to follow its feeding instructions. AMS HT specs put generic TPU on the bypass outlet, which cannot auto-feed or retract. |
| TPU | Creality CFS | Do not feed TPU through standard CFS. | The CFS manual says not to use TPU. |
| TPU | Creality CFS-C | Not listed in the current compatibility set; do not assume support. | Creality currently lists Hyper PLA, CR-PLA, and CR-Silk; its page says support may expand through firmware. |
| TPU 64D or harder | Creality CFS Lite on SPARKX i7 | Allowed by Creality’s specialist guide; its broad FAQ conflicts. | The TPU guide sets a 64D minimum; the general CFS Lite FAQ says to avoid flexible TPU. |
| TPU 95A | Creality CFS Lite | Not supported. | Creality’s CFS Lite compatibility guide excludes TPU 95A. |
| SUNLU filament spool | AMS Lite | Conditional; there is no brand-wide yes/no. | Check width and hub against Bambu’s 40–68 mm width and 53–58 mm inner-diameter limits. Owners report different spool generations: thread one and thread two. |
| Cardboard spool, including ELEGOO Rapid PETG | AMS 2 Pro | Conditional; use Bambu’s adapter guidance and check the assembled spool. | ELEGOO identifies Rapid PETG’s spool as cardboard. Measure against AMS 2 Pro limits and follow its manual; owner reports differ. |
Published spool limits are only the first check
The AMS Lite specs list 40–68 mm width and a 53–58 mm inner diameter. AMS 2 Pro lists 50–68 mm width and 197–202 mm diameter. Check the spool and any adapter against the relevant manual before loading. For a SUNLU spool, check the actual spool in hand; owner measurements and reports differ between versions.
For a side-by-side look at cardboard and plastic reels across AMS, AMS Lite, and heated dryers, read the cardboard spool fit guide.
Creality’s CFS Lite guide lists 195–202 mm diameter and 42–68 mm width. Its CFS Lite FAQ lists 197–202 mm diameter and the same width, so measure the spool and follow the manual for the unit you have if those ranges disagree. Its CFS-C page lists 197–202 mm diameter and 42–68 mm width. Use the range for your exact feeder model.
How to use this table
- Read the exact filament line and hardness printed on the spool or manufacturer page.
- Identify the feeder model: AMS Lite, AMS 2 Pro, CFS, CFS-C, or CFS Lite.
- Measure spool width and hub or diameter where the feeder publishes those limits.
- Open the linked manual for loading instructions. A fit by dimensions is not a feeder approval.

Common questions
Can one filament brand be marked compatible with every feeder?
No. Compatibility changes by filament line, spool version, feeder model, and sometimes firmware. Use the exact row and source instead of a brand-wide label.
Does a spool that matches the listed dimensions always feed?
No. The published dimensions are a first screen. A deformed, rough, or version-changed spool can still bind or slip, so follow the feeder manual and inspect the spool itself.
Can I use the CFS Lite TPU rule for the regular CFS?
No. Creality documents different rules for CFS, CFS-C, and CFS Lite. The CFS Lite TPU guide is for the SPARKX i7 setup and does not apply to standard CFS.
