Do not use TPU in standard CFS. Do not assume CFS-C supports it. For CFS Lite on SPARKX i7, Creality’s TPU guide says 64D or harder, while its general FAQ conflicts; verify the exact current instructions before using that exception.
The answer by feeder model
| System | TPU verdict | Source and limit |
|---|---|---|
| CFS for K2 / Hi models | Do not use TPU. | The manual says not to use TPU to avoid feeding jams. |
| CFS-C | Not documented in the current compatibility list. | Creality lists Hyper PLA, CR-PLA, and CR-Silk; its page says other filaments may be added through firmware. |
| CFS Lite with SPARKX i7 | The specialist guide permits TPU rated 64D or harder. | Creality’s TPU guide sets the threshold. The general CFS Lite FAQ still says to avoid flexible TPU. |
| CFS Lite with TPU 95A | Not supported. | The CFS Lite compatibility guide excludes TPU 95A and softer materials. |
Why do CFS Lite sources disagree?
Creality’s detailed SPARKX i7 TPU guide and CFS Lite compatibility update describe a supported hard-TPU path at 64D or harder. Its broader FAQ still tells users to avoid flexible TPU. Those statements do not line up cleanly, so treat the exception as specific to the i7 combo, the listed hardness, and the current specialist instructions. If your manual or firmware guidance says otherwise, follow it and use the external spool route.
The 64D threshold is not a conversion formula for 95A. Shore A and Shore D labels use different scales; choose by the product’s stated hardness and the feeder maker’s explicit rule.
Spool dimensions also differ
The CFS Lite compatibility guide lists 195–202 mm spool diameter and 42–68 mm width. The CFS Lite FAQ lists 197–202 mm diameter and the same width. The CFS-C product page lists 197–202 mm diameter and 42–68 mm width. Those numbers do not transfer to standard CFS by name alone. Check the manual for your exact unit and the spool’s actual shape.

Common questions
Can the regular Creality CFS feed TPU?
No. The standard CFS manual says not to use TPU to avoid feeding jams.
Can CFS-C feed TPU?
Creality’s current CFS-C compatibility list does not include TPU. Treat it as unconfirmed unless a current firmware update or manual explicitly adds the exact line.
Can CFS Lite feed TPU 95A?
No. Creality’s CFS Lite compatibility guide excludes TPU 95A. Its specialist i7 guide sets a 64D minimum for TPU.
